One As the sun rises and the crickets chirp, the seagulls sing, and the wind whirrs, each day I find one moment in a sea of 1440 that eases my soul and frees it from worry. To find the peace of a bird soaring high while standing grounded, gazing at the sky. To sink into this cocoon of fabric as if I were instead lying seaside static. To delight in the momentary sunlight granted to me with blessings of light. To find company in the radio’s drone so that I might no longer feel so alone. To find the beauty in what can still be is our life raft as we drift slowly out to sea. One good moment in a day is all I can ask. One good moment upon which to look back. And if more than one should happily arise then I shall look back with awe and surprise.
