The Fading Aura of Our Joy We’re all searching for tiny slices of normal with a side of joyous abandon covered in comfort as we stare into the ever expanding abyss. Perhaps, a mere sprinkling of those good times is the inkling of hope we need to carry us all through. Communal happiness has always kept us afloat, connecting us to smiling souls swaddled in bliss. Pretty please, a sliver of the cheesecake of distraction to balance out this whirligig cut loose from its mooring, leaving us endlessly tumbling forth into the unknown. In this dizzying time of cosmic disruption the path forward is a mix of rust and glitter, wandering through this cavernous maze of midnight with only the soft flicker of a candle to guide us. May we rebuild this world for the better, having found enough gratitude in this cracked existence to know exactly where to lay the cement of love.
