Waterfront Observations On the waterfront flags are wavin'. Flags from every state in the nation just saying hello to the folks on vacation. Workers head off to their vocations, as fishermen reel up their crustaceans, and families spend time in relaxation. Joggers pause for some hydration. Diners drink up their sweet libations. Travelers get a fix of caffeination. Fans cheer teams with pure elation gathered in weekly convocation, journeying from the ferry station. Gentlemen engage in conversation, as children frolic across vegetation, and artists dream up new creations. Where the river's flowing in separation, gentle souls sit deep in meditation lost in a world of contemplation. As pigeons practice their levitation, seagulls soar into higher elevations passing by ghosts of the naval station.
This is a throwback poem from a previously published book. I’ll be posting throwbacks every Wednesday.
Inspired by walking along the Vallejo waterfront.
