Road Trip A vortex of starlings in an early morning sky. Snow capped mountains on the horizon line. Back to the warm embrace of the mother road, the ghosts of fellow travelers whistle in the night, dancing to jazzy piano notes lingering in the air. Up before sunrise and into the arms of a starry sky. The chilly morning air shakes off the dust of dreams. Mountain silhouettes caress an endless highway, as the morning sunlight kisses gorgeous gorges. Desert birds pirouette among fiery pink clouds. Every crow says, “Hello!” on mountains capped with snow. Singing out into the starlight with Orion as our guide, a river of headlights flashing before our eyes, floating down the freeway, riding waves of joy, feeling as light as a cloud drifting through the desert— the music an oasis of bliss carrying us back home.
